The environment is a part of everything we do
Responsible environmental stewardship is our goal. One way of achieving that goal is by taking a leadership role in creating products that actually reduce usage of our collective national energy resources – products such as our LoE coatings.
Approximately 1 million new homes are built each year and another 1 million homes replace their windows. If they all use our Energy Efficient LoE Coatings and achieve a conservative 15% energy savings compared to windows with just clear glass, the annual savings would be more than $100 billion dollars.
- The savings could heat 700,000 homes for a year
- Provide electricity for 230,000 homes for a year
- Be the equivalent of 200,000,000 gallons of gasoline or 4,200,000 barrels of crude oil
- The reduction in energy consumption would be enough to eliminate 5 coal-fired power plants or 1 nuclear plant
The National CO2 emissions would be reduced by 2,000,000 tons per year which is the equivalent of:
- 400,000 passenger cars not driven for one year
- 45 million tree seedlings grown for 10 years
- 15,000 acres of forest preserved from deforestation
- 9,000 rail cars of coal burned
- 600,000 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled
